Insurance for Machinery Movement

Machinery Movement Insurance can include:

• Cover for the machinery whilst in transit
• Cover for the machinery whilst in incidental storage whilst in transit
• Cover for moving the machinery  from the unloading point to the final working position.
• Cover for lifting and lowering of the machinery, from the attachment of slings until removal.
• Re-siting cover – removal from one position to another position within same location.
• Premium is usually calculated on the new replacement value of the machinery to be moved.

Optional machinery movement covers available can include:

• Sea or air transit – cover for loss of, or damage to machinery during sea or air transit
• Cover can include dismantling and/or disconnecting until loading on the transport commences.
• Testing – protection for loss of, or damage to, new machinery caused when occurring during testing or commissioning. This extension is usually available for a limited period  following completion of the erection of the machinery.
• Cover can include erection or installation from the time the machinery is unloaded, until the start of testing or running.
